INTERNATIONAL PROPOLIS RESEARCH GROUP

In 2016 in collaboration with SIPBS (Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences) ARC (Apiceutical Research Centre) held the first international conference on Propolis in Human and Bee Health in Glasgow.

Over 100 researchers attended this conference where more than 40 papers from over 20 countries were presented, covering many aspects of this remarkable substance and its importance in the maintenance of both human and bee health.

The 2016 conference demonstrated the growing community of researchers around the world committed to exploring the chemical and biological properties of propolis and  developing its medicinal potential. Soon after this conference a small group met who determined to build on the energy and enthusiasm generated in Glasgow. Out of the momentum created by the conference the International Propolis Research Group was formed.

THE IPRG AIMS TO

Guide the work of Researchers, Apiculturists, Manufacturers Formulators and Practitioners, in exploring the many properties of propolis in both human and bee health as well as in agriculture.

Create and maintain a database of research in all the above areas and to make this database freely available to members of the group.

To organise, in conjunction with ARC, International conferences dedicated to the further understanding and exploration of propolis.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the group is open to anyone engaged in  the research and therapeutic use of propolis.

$20 per year with concessions for students.

MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION

The Directors of ARC will provide coordination, administration and web hosting for IPRG.
